OK, let’s talk about GREY HAIR *
To be honest, I don’t care very much about ageing - I don’t care about my wrinkles, I’m happy to be 49, but there’s one thing I confess I have struggled with ….
My bright coloured hair dye is not holding as much as it used to, due to grey hair coming through :O
You guys all know how much I love my hair - I have had colours in my hair for as long as I have had this haircut - 30 years now! Back in the 90s I had to use Fudge, as there wasn’t anything else, but my world of colour opened up so much with the invention of eBay!
Now, I don’t care about the grey hair, but it’s very inconvenient when it is in the spot where the bright colour is. So I worked with my fab hairdresser Sarah (sable), and we decided to bleach out the parts with more grey, and leave the fringe pink. I used coloured conditioner, so the blonde will just turn into pastel pink instead.
Even though my hair is naturally ash blonde, I still feel that blonde doesn’t really suit me … so we’ll see! If it drives me mad, you may see me dying over it, and putting up with having to touch up every 2 weeks.
Friends - tell me your grey hair stories!
