Weekday weaving reality ... !
OK, here is some weekday REALITY!So I usually record videos and take pics on the weekend, because it’s bright outside, and good lighting is KEY! Also, I have the time, because filming really slows you down ;)But since I work a full time day job, I have to squeeze in weaving between everyday stuff … so during the week, I’m weaving in my pjs, when it’s too dark outside to take pics.As soon as I finish my work, I log off, put on my pjs, take off my makeup, then it’s on to the second ‘job’. Weaving more Liquorice Allsorts scarves!
And we’re away!You saw the loom setup, next is the actual weaving process …I’m making a warp full of Liquorice Allsorts scarves, so it’s a lot of fun changing colours every now and then, and making colour decisions as I go. Dressing the loom ...
‘Dressing the loom’ before I can even start weaving!What does that mean? Well, it’s just putting the warp onto the loom.And when I say ‘putting’, I mean:- sleying the reed- threading the heddles- winding the warp onto the back beam- tying the front of the warp onto the front beam- tying up the treadlesAnd then away we go!
