Well, I’ve learnt a lesson!So, I’ve been talking about wearing what makes you feel good, and the colours you love, and getting out of your comfort zone.Well, last week I bought this HOT PINK LIPSTICK!’So what?’ you may be thinking. But after my fave lippy was discontinued (shout out to gemma), I needed to find a new one, and I realised that I had been playing safe.I’m one of those people who only has 1 lipstick … yeah, crazy! And I’m not a ‘red lipstick’ person at all (it’s not my colour!). So I thought … what about hot pink?...

I’m experimenting with smaller tapestries in the ‘Road Trip’ series, and although Luna Park in Melbourne is not * technically * one of the ‘Big Things’, I am fascinated by how creepy he is.And yeah, I definitely have to do the changing faces of the Sydney one too !This is one of those tapestries that are not making sense right now, but I’m sure it will all pull together soon!!

I made this work because many people assume I must be patient to be able to work in very slow mediums like tapestry and handweaving.No, I am not patient!I am actually a very highly-strung, ‘Energiser Bunny’ kind of person, some say ‘pocket rocket’, I don’t sit still, I don’t relax, and I never stop creating.
